Privacy Policy

Effective July 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Paideia Live (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Paideia Live (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information. When you create an account, our authentication provider collects your name and email address and manages your login credentials on our behalf.

Payment information. When you subscribe, our third-party payment processor collects and processes your payment details. We do not receive or store your full payment card number; we retain limited billing records such as your subscription status and customer identifier.

Usage and progress data. We collect your reading progress, streaks, preferences, and settings.

Your content. We store the reflections, answers, and tutor conversations you submit so we can provide and personalize the Service.

Device-sync credentials. If you connect an optional device or storage service, we store the access tokens needed to deliver content there on your behalf.

Technical and log data. We automatically collect technical information such as IP address, approximate location or timezone, and request logs to operate and secure the Service.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to provide and operate the Service; process subscriptions and payments; deliver lesson emails and notifications you have enabled; personalize your experience and generate AI-assisted responses; maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse; comply with legal obligations; and improve the Service.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, including providers of authentication, payment processing, email delivery, hosting and infrastructure, AI processing for the tutor, and any device-sync service you connect. We may also share information to comply with law or legal process, to protect our rights and the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. AI Processing

When you use the AI tutor, the relevant lesson context and your messages are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We do not authorize the provider to use your content to train its models beyond what is necessary to provide the feature.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your account at any time from your settings, which removes your personal content and associated data from the Service. We may retain limited records as required to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations, and residual copies may persist briefly in backups.

6. Cookies and Sessions

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service securely. We do not use them to sell your data.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices

You can access and update your profile in your settings, unsubscribe from lesson emails at any time (including via the link in every email), disconnect linked devices, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information; contact us to exercise them.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
